Newport Chowder Festival
Once again Sea Watch participated in the Newport Chowder Festival. Instead of sponsoring the event this year, we sponsored the VIP parties. There were over 15,000 people in attendance for the festival. Because we do not sell Sea Watch branded products to the general public we concentrated out efforts on the competitors. All the competitors are restaurants from across the country and as far away as Bermuda. We hosted a VIP party for them and other sponsor guest, it was a great success. If you recall from last year the judges of the most respected chowder cook off in the country are the attendees numbering over 15,000. This year the grand prize awarded for the "World's Best Clam Chowder" was won by Tony's Seafood of Cedar Key, FL. Tony's secret weapon is Sea Watch's condensed New England Clam Chowder. The chef uses our product as a base and adds his signature ingredients to make his award winning chowder. The owner of Tony's Seafood asked Steve to thank everyone at Sea Watch for being a part of his great victory. Well done and enjoy the accolades.
