1. Place Clam Chowder into soup pot.
2. Use empty can from soup to portion half and half.
3. Stir in half and half and butter/margarine blend.
4. Place pot of chowder over 2 inches of water in second pot.
5. Stir frequently and heat until soup reaches 165°F.
6. Hold chowder in warmer at 150°F-160°F.
