Clams Sauce with Basil

Ingredients: Method:
  1. Sauté clams in 1-cup wine for 4-6 minutes.
  2. Reserve liquid and set clams aside.
  3. Heat oil until rippling; add onions and garlic, sauté, for 4 minutes, just before serving, stir in basil, clams, salt, and Tabasco.
  4. Dissolve starch in remaining wine and add.
  5. Bring to boil, stir until thickened and remove from heat.
  6. Ladle sauce over pasta, garnish with grated cheese and pepper.
